April 16, 2011

This is an invitation to all Scouts and Scouters from Iaoapogh Mountains District to participate in our 22nd annual Scouting for Food, good turn.

Earn community service hours. Support one of the basic tenets of scouting. Service to Others

  • How it works:
    • Prior to April 9, 2011, Units in each town co-ordinate their commitment and work division
    • Flyer or bags are distributed the week of April 9, 2011 to each household in their respective communities
    • At 9:00 am on April 16, 2011 units canvas their community for bags left on door steps
    • Once the vehicle is full, bring the collected items to the designated collection site
    • Once the items are at the collection site, they are separated, boxed, and then stored at the pantry
    • Collected items are then distributed to needy families coming to the centers.
